Swamped
The bald cypress tree. Taxodium distichum. The tree best known for it's unique trunk feature and ability to grow submerrsed in water. Several cypress trees trunks are seen submerged in a swamp near Opelousas, LA.

Warning shots
An old refrigerator lives out its days inside a barbed wire fence in Alex, OK as a target for rifles and shotguns. Decorated in the colors of Old Glory, the refrigerator has numerous holes from gunfire. Seen in the background is a dead coyote strung up on the fence, a notice to other coyotes that they are not welcome.

Just outside of Alex, OK this barn-turned-church certainly stands out in the rural setting of Oklahoma's farmland. The classic look of the barn along with the 1950's Dodge gives the feeling of time standing still.

Serenity
Just downstream from Roaring Run falls in Botetourt County, VA; the serene waters flow around and cross over rocks along the hemlock and birch lined banks of the creek.
Furled
The main sail furled on the boom of a Yawl ported in Annapolis, MD. The area is well known for its naval tradition; from its incorporation in 1708 to its United States Naval Acadamy, which still trains Navy and Marine Corps officers to this day.
